Meet Viking, a very important member of St Francis Special School. Viking is a My Canine Companion service dog in training. He is only 8 months old. My Canine Companion is an Irish national charity who provide accredited  service dogs to people with disabilities, predominantly autism. In addition MCC provides a range of therapy dog services and autism awareness programmes. MCC is Irelands largest dog service provider and Ireland’s first  school therapy dog programme. For 13 years these dogs have changed countless lives. We were blessed to have Viking join our school community in Dec ‘23 when he was only 8 weeks old. Since he has arrived he has provided so much love , joy, & comfort to both children & staff. We look forward to sharing many more exciting adventures with Viking in our school. I know we’re biased but we think he’s pawsome 🐾🥰
